Santa Rosa Beach 30A Family Beach Vacations

We are so excited, Yahoo Travel ranked Santa Rosa Beach as one of the Top 10 Best Beach Destinations… the world!  Florida Travel & Life called 30A ‘Pearl of the Panhandle’.
Grab a cup of coffee, just steps away, at Sunrise Coffee in Gulf Place, walk steps to watch the gorgeous sunrise but don’t forget your camera!  Spend the day at the beach, building sandcastles, swimming, surfing, YOLO boarding, watching for dolphins, read a book,  look for sand dollars, people watch, all while making lasting memories. Close to sunset pour a glass of wine and walk over to watch the pinkish, red sunset.  What a great day!

Scenic Highway 30-A is a 19 mile corridor that hugs the Gulf of Mexico coastline in Northwest Florida’s Walton County.  Along this breath-taking drive you will see sugar-white sand beaches and some very rare coastal dune lakes.  There are 16 beach neighborhoods which are full of beautiful charming, eclectic and downright delicious experiences that will make your trip unforgettable.

Ed Walline Park is right in the center of Santa Rosa Beach at Gulf Place where County Road 393 meets with Scenic 30A.  This beach access has bathroom facilities and two picnic pavilions that sit on a dune overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.  Despite its dune top location you’ll find ramps that meander down to the gorgeous beach below, so it is handicapped accessible.  There is also a special one story observation deck for viewing the gulf ahead and it is a popular place to spot surfers and dolphins playing in the waves.  Lifeguards staff the Ed Walline Beach Access March-September.  This beach access also has a flag indicating current surf conditions.
